Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

Name:
Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

Quick Thoughts (Okay, rants)

From a quick run through the news on Friday:

Damn you to hell, Fred Phelps!! I've said it before and I'll say it again. Fred Phelps, may you and your sickening swine herd of followers burn in hell.
*********************

Arlen Specter, what an ass! The R is for reprehensible.
*********************

Christian Peacekeepers, my ass! Don't tell me these ungrateful swine are Christians. They are terrorist supporters and America haters. That includes the the 'christian' Fox whom the terrorists killed. (See previous post.)
**********************

Debra Lafave skates, kinda. Our local Judge Ito did it again.
**********************

The Religion of Pieces, per Michelle Malkin, points out what I've been forced to realize about Islam. A backwards religion for a backwards people. Perfect symmetry.
**********************

And a great number of Canada and England Muslims want sharia law. America will be next. Gee I wonder which side the Democrats and ACLU (yeah I know, same difference) will come down on. It'll be tough on them since these are not crazy Christians trying to restore prayer in schools. Still, Muslims hate gays, women's rights and abortion. So it'll be a close call.

Whew, Been one helluva week

Haven't posted in days. Been lotsa fun at work trying to complete many projects that are pretty far behind. I was able to drive a stake into the heart of two of them by Friday evening and am trying to finish a couple of more this weekend.

One staff member was out on vacation all last week and I was very pleased for her. Her husband, a Marine captain reservist, got back from Iraq after almost 9 months and they went on a beach vacation. They had only been married about 6 months when he was called up. I really hope things get back closer to normal for them both.

Another staff member is taking off most of next week. She's having a birthday on Monday and she thinks it's a big number. I don't, especially since she's young enough to be my daughter. But some birthdays are traumatic.

I'm on two volunteer organizations that took about 12 prime hours of my time last week and it's hard making up the time. But I'm pleased to honor my commitments.

I have several things to post about and hope to get to them tomorrow. Just felt the need to say something right now that wasn't a rant.

I'll leave that to Antimedia over at Media Lies. He's talking about Islamic terrorism. He is on fire, on target and taking no crap. Right on!

Religion of Peace, My Ass! (Wait, what if I'm right?)

From Michelle Malkin website, she brings us the story of an Afghan man who converted to Christianity from Islam. This is a death offense for the followers of the 'religion of peace.' In addition to being a test case for the new Afghan constitution, it is a recurring tragedy in the world of Islam.

Now this is more like it. Whew, there I was doubting myself. Filipino Muslims are apparently a little more civilized than most of the Islamic world. And I'm still waiting for a massive protest by American Muslims against the continuing travesties of their co-religionists. Then again I had hoped many years ago that the religious wars in Ireland would be widely protested by the various Christian sects in America.

Oh by the way, since I'm often taken for a Christian, let me take this opportunity to again give my opinion of the group of 'christians' who are in the church led by a headcase (that bastard Fred Phelps) who protest during funerals of warriors killed during the war on terror. They are scum, they are not Christians, they should be ashamed, they should be shunned, they should be laughed at, they should be spat upon, they should have their asses kicked. Let me also say that there are damned few of these nutjobs and they do not represent Christ or Christianity as both were taught to me.

Religion of Peace, My Ass! (Maybe I was wrong)

According this post from Tim Blair, there was a subtantial pro-American demostration by Muslim Filipinos. Apparently they love us. Who knew? Hell, now I have to re-think my whole 'Islam is a religion for backward cultures.' That's going to hurt.

Katherine Harris for Senator...Sure, Why Not? (a sequel)

She's got more cajones than many male politicians. And she's willing to spend her own 10 million dollars to be a senator.

She's going ahead to be the Republican candidate from Florida to replace Dem. Senator Bill Nelson. Frankly, I don't give a damn who the republican is, I'm going to vote for him/her because I'll be voting against Nelson. However, I feel comfortable in having her as another Republican senator from my state. Just like I felt in a previous post.

Just Listening to the Radio

Yep, just listening to some southern rock: Tuesday's Gone with the Wind by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Damn, that's good. Great music from a great group.

Carlie Brucia's killer sentenced to die

As reported in today's Ocala Star-Banner: "Joseph Smith, 39, whose abduction of the sixth-grader was captured by a car wash security camera and aired on TV around the world, stood stoically as state Circuit Judge Andrew Owens sentenced him for first-degree murder. He also was sentenced to life in prison on related kidnapping and capital sexual battery convictions."
***********************
"During a hearing last month, Smith tearfully apologized for his crimes, telling Owens that he took a large amount of heroin and cocaine in an effort to kill himself before he abducted Carlie on Feb. 1, 2004. Smith said he didn't remember much about that day and asked Owens to spare him for the sake of his family."

Yeah, it happens all the time, right? A decent fellow, who wouldn't hurt a fly, just wants to kill himself and inadvertently brutally rapes and kills an 11 year old girl. What a piece of scum this 'man' is.

It's almost worth it to hope there is a hell so that the bastard can burn there.

And the vote by the jury was 10 to 2 to recommend the death penalty that the judge did impose. Who are these 2 jurors? If the death penalty doesn't apply here, then when? Silly twits.

Gay Patriot honors an American hero

Bruce, the Gay Patriot, is honoring another one of America's true heroes, Gunnery Sgt. John D. Fry, who was killed the day before he was to return home. Bruce says "I am vowing to highlight our real life heroes in the War on Terror as I see them. Here is one that has a sad ending, but a Sgt. Fry is a hero for our times nonetheless." You are so right, Bruce. Thanks.

The Mainstream Media and Muslim Terrorists

Another usually great Mark Steyn column, and his title says it all: "Media shockingly ignorant of Muslims among us."

We all know that an Iranian MUSLIM ex-student by the name of MOHAMMED in North Carolina tried to kill Americans by running them over in an SUV. For some reason, much of the MSM, particularly the New York Times, couldn't see the connection to MUSLIM terrorism. Even though the MUSLIM terrorist proudly admitted that he planned and committed this act on behalf of fellow MUSLIMS. MOHAMMED told the judge he was "thankful for the opportunity to spread the will of ALLAH."

Odd that the "newspaper of record" could have missed the connection to the RELIGION OF PEACE. Guess it was too subtle.

But remember when two nutjob students killed other students in Columbine? The MSM had no problem determining that the problems were due to society...and guns. And remember when that nutjob terrorist murdering piece of crap blew up abortion clinics? Yeah, I remember that was because of all these insane religious conservative, antichoice, nazi wannabee Republicans (did I leave anyone out?), not because the headcase was, well, a headcase. And the MSM knew that even before the murderer was identified. Very subtle reasoning, that, in both cases.

Oh, and by the way...

I am not a bigoted white man who hates Muslims. Got to get this in because of the previous 'Religion of Peace #7' post concerning Tom Fox. A poster had a thoughtful comment on #6 of the series in response to my rant: "Is not connecting all muslims with muslim extremists a wee bit like characterizing all white folk as KKK members? Do you even know any muslims?"

To which I responded: "You mean all white folks ain't KKK. Then why did I kill so many of them? What the hell was I thinking. But here's the deal, when the KKK tries to kill a black man, I'll yell that the KKK bastards should be tried and fried. And if they happen to be killed before trial, well, these things happen. See, it's easy. White guy = maybe okay. KKK scum = bad. Muslim guy = maybe okay. Muslim murderers = bad. It's really quite simple. You do, however, have to connect the dots. But thanks for the comment."

And I really did appreciate the comment. Then of course I did the obligatory 'but some of my best friends are...' type of reply: "Oh, yeah, I have known personally far more muslims (school and work)than I have KKK guys (2). Liked some of the muslims; didn't like any of the KKK. I've attended 2 rallies against the KKK when they were having their half-assed rallies in Orlando. Also, I know a lot of non-muslim arabs, africans, asians, south americans and a lot of white folks that weren't KKK (imagine that). Have gotten along well with them all, except the ones that may have wanted to kill me. That's my criterion-not skin color or religion."

So before I get the same criticism for #7, let me just state the following: See above.

Religion of Peace, My Ass! (part 7) Tom Fox

So many atrocities by Muslims to choose from, it gets so hard to pick.

How about this one from the AP: Tom Fox was a Quaker who worked for a 'peace' group and "...worked with incarcerated Iraqis, often serving as the only link between them and their families on the outside...Fox, 54, was the only American in a group of four Christian Peacemaker Teams members who were taken hostage last year by a previously unknown group, the Swords of Righteousness Brigade. Fox was found near a west Baghdad railway line with gunshot wounds to his head and chest...was found with his hands tied and gunshots to his head and chest."

Guess which side Fox really was against. That's right, the side that is the source of all bad in the world. So you know which side killed him. No, surprisingly it wasn't the Americans.

Fox may have been a 'good' man. But he was a stupid man who couldn't or wouldn't differentiate between good and evil. A terrorist or American soldier-all the same to him. He is now a dead man. His neutrality didn't save him. He was a Christian and an American. An infidel worthy of death to the brutes who comprise so much of the 'religion of peace.'

See antimedia's take.

Speaking of Marion (County) Justice

As the Ocala Star Banner article states: "The man charged with killing two campers in the Ocala National Forest is growling about what he calls being chained "up like a dog" at the Marion County Jail.In a letter addressed to the Star-Banner, Leo Lance Boatman, 19, refers to being chained by all fours in the Marion County Jail as "torture" and compares himself to a prisoner in Iraq."I would rather be sentenced to death that than be chained up like a dog for the rest of my life, forced to eat like one with my hands and wear a woman's dress," he states in the letter dated Feb. 23."

Tough punk, huh? Kill two innocent people and can't do the relatively easy time. Hope the bastard fries...I mean, gets the needle. (Damn, I wish they would crank up Ol' Sparky again!)

Debra Lafave meets Marion justice

Debra Lafave was in Marion County Wednesday for a court date. You would have thought it was the Michael Jackson trial when it came to the media. I know this because I'm often in the courthouse. There's a murder trial underway that didn't get as much attention.

So anyway, our judge Hale Stancil just can't make up his mind. There's been a fair plea deal long worked out, but he just can't seem to allow it. This is the same deal she got in Hillsborough county for the same 'crime' but our local robed avenger still seems to need his 15 minutes of fame, as I've posted before. And I'm still of the same opinion: I'm the type of chauvinist that thinks a female teacher 'mentoring' a 14 or 15 year old 'boy' is different from a male teacher doing the same for a female student.

Come on Judge Ito, I mean, Stancil, get this thing over with. You have much more important demands on your time. Don't you? That's what you've been telling everyone for years, which is why there are now a couple of more judges in this district. Face it, bud, you just like looking at the pretty blond girl, now don't ya'?

Training, it never ends

I've spent the past 3 days in a training conference. I've been around for so many years and have done my job for almost as many. It seems I know all there is to know. Then some days I find out that there is still so much to learn. Exciting...and depressing...at the same time. Now I'm going to go to sleep. Maybe I'll retain all my newly acquired training so I can put it to work tomorrow morning. Training, followed by work. My life is so full.

Looks like I found an admirer

Or so I guess. I got this interesting comment to my very first post (of 3/22/05) by email from an anonymous reader: "You sound like a real S@#T smear. People like you are whats wrong with America."

Now I didn't know this was related to the 3/22/05 post (wow, has it been a year already?) and I had to go hunting for the comment and original post. And I was quite surprised...and pleased...to find it related to the very first one.

To which I just replied: "Wow, anonymous, I'm impressed. Either you read my entire blog at 3/01/06 or you just read the first post. And you quickly noticed I'm a S@#T smear. Please, you're embarrassing me. But thanks for noticing!"

With fans like these, I think I'll blog another year. Really makes it all worthwhile.

An Anniversary, Kinda

Well, I can't let that last post be my only thought for today.

On this day (well, actually yesterday, but don't quibble) in 1974 I met Mrs. Right for the first time. Oh, she screened me by telephone 2 nights before because my reputation preceded me. We shared a mutual friend who, it turned out, was trying to get into her pants. But that's another story.

Anyway, I asked her to marry me about 3 months after. Of course she refused. She wasn't an idiot. But I perservered and she finally agreed. So five months after we spoke by phone, we were married. It's now 32 years, and yes I know how lucky I am. (She tells me often.) Oh yeah, that mutual friend? He was my best man.

Happy anniversary (kinda) Mrs. Right! I love you.

And thank you.

Update (3/06/06)
Got a nice 'congrats' from Donnah of Florida Cracker. Shucks, ma'am, I just a lucky kinda guy.

Religion of Peace, My Ass! (part 6)

No links for this post...there are just too many instances to pick one or twenty.

Anyway, I'm just going to vent and spew venom.

Too many Muslims have used offensive "cartoons" to justify their hatred and well-deserved sense of inadequacy. They are burning, bombing and killing throughout the world. Too many supposed "moderate" Muslims are quiet. Muslim scum killed a Jew in France, after torturing him and having his family listen to his screams. All the while chanting about how great their god is. May they all burn in hell.

Like I've said too many times before, most Muslims are culturally backward, which is why they subscribe to this violent dark ages religion.

And no, I don't feel better.

UPDATE
Received a thoughtful comment to this rant. Much better than the commenter noted in an above post. No venom or profanity. Much appreciated. I'll include in a later post.
