Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

Name:
Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

Unsolicited Advice

Unsolicited advice from your grandpappy or uncle or that strange guy who shows up from time to time that other family members seem to know. But it's from someone who does care about you at least a bit.

Can't wait to be an adult and go out on your own? I understand, so did I. I do recommend it.

But please be aware that the parental 'domination' and decisions are not made to keep you a child or to just piss you off.

Your parents did the best they could, and they probably knew the following.

So much of life is just winging it. Ya know, seat of the pants flying if you will. Why? Because life is not lived in a straight line and you are not the center of the universe. You are not bullet-proof. Others wield much control over you and, yeah, you often make dumbass decisions that not even you can explain. And let's face it, you are not as smart or cunning as you think.

So go, get out of your parents' care and hair. Life is out there and it's waiting for you. Just be ready.

But you won't listen. Neither did I.

And Big Brother's CDC Is At It AGAIN

Religion of the Magic Masks

UPDATED:  July 29, 2021

One year later and the Religion of the Magic Masks is still around and preparing another INQUISITION.

July 29, 2020

I've heard it said that America is no longer a nation of religious faith.
That may be true as to Christianity but there is so much faith in another religion.
This is the true religion of MAGIC and it is proselytized by the federal and state and local governments. In fact you can be fined and jailed if you do not at least appear to be a true believer.
Of course I'm talking about the religious belief that a viral pandemic can be stopped by wearing cloth masks, that a virus can only be spread within 6 feet of a carrier AND NO FARTHER, that habitual hand washing and sanitizing will appease the virus gods AND that we must all shelter in our own temples praying until the virus gods tell us that they will kill no more of our fellow acolytes.
Me...apparently I have no faith of any kind.
I fully expect the Virus Inquisition to come for me during early morning hours. Either I will be forcefully Sanitized or Discarded like a empty used alcohol bottle.
Oh, yeah...America IS very religious these days and heretics will be held accountable for not showing their faith in the true gods.
