Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

When Political Correctness Strikes...the Seminoles

According the the Orlando Sentinel: "The NCAA on Friday took its strongest stance yet against American Indian mascots and imagery, announcing that 18 schools -- including Florida State -- cannot host postseason competition as long as their current names and logos are in place. They must also cover up or remove references to those logos when traveling to NCAA championships."

The Florida State University Seminoles are now un-PC. Madness has again struck sports. Well, not sports, really, but the schmucks within a regulatory organization. These are the same idiots who infest our schools and universities.

UPDATE (9/04/05)
I know this is several days old now, but the FSU Seminoles triumphed over the NCAA, which has backed down from their childish position. Okay, so they are still childish, only less so now.
