Right In Florida

Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

McCain and Gaia

Well, look who's joined the Church of Gaia!

John McCain.

I've said before that I would vote for McCain over any Democrat.

That was even when I thought he was at most 60% Republican.

Looks like I need to revise that estimate...seems like maybe 40%.

Damnit! He just keeps making it harder every day to support him.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Why doesn't he just say...hell, why didn't he say...that:
**he believes in Global Warming
**BUT that before he could commit trillions of dollars,
**he would sponsor a conference of true meterologists and weather scientists.
**he would include economists who were able to look at the big picture world-wide.
**he would solicit opinions from every vantage point and spectrum
**to assist in determining what really are the scientific and economic consensus (if there is any such thing) of the probabilities, outcome and costs of global climate change.
**THEN he would make a decision.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

But I'm only daydreaming.

Mavericks go their own way. The only opinions that matter are theirs.

Yep, it keeps getting harder and harder to support him.
