Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

Name:
Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

"Ocala man given Carnegie Hero Medal"

An 18-year-old Ocala man who saved a 51-year-old Massachusetts man from drowning in a lake has been named a recipient of a Carnegie Hero Medal.
*********************
The Hero Medal is awarded by the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission, whose mission is to recognize persons who perform acts of heroism in civilian life and to provide financial assistance for those disabled and the dependents of those killed helping others.

Now this is the type of award that we in Marion County can be truly proud of.
