Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

Name:
Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

Quick Thoughts-to catch up on September

Very light posting for a couple of weeks. Just to catch up, here are quick thoughts (okay, rants):

Clarence Hill was finally executed on 9/20. This was the brave murderer that got several idiots on the Supreme Court to stay his execution because lethal injection might hurt. Even so, "...the U.S. Supreme Court narrowly denied him another stay. Clarence Hill, 48, was executed for the 1982 murder of a Pensacola police officer in a savings and loan robbery. Hill, of Mobile, Ala., was pronounced dead at 6:12 p.m., never getting a hearing on the merits of his contention that the chemicals used in Florida's lethal injection procedure caused extreme pain and were unconstitutional. He stared straight at the ceiling and did not reply when asked if he had a last statement. He was wearing a white skullcap, and his head was strapped down, unlike some other executions." Boo Hoo. Apparently he found religion in prison and from the picture (and skullcap), I'm guessing it's the Nation of Islam's version of the 'Religion of Peace.' The bitch is that 4 "justices" were willing to give him another stay. Thanks to Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, David Souter and John Paul Stevens, this murdering scum could still be alive.

Rep. Mark Foley (R) for resigned, as of September 29. Bastard should be put in prison...for gross stupidity and hypocrisy. Same goes to every Democrat hypocrite...I try to be consistent. His problem is he should have been a Democrat. He wouldn't be praised (necessarily) but would have been forgiven and allowed to remain in the party after apologizing. Hey, wasn't there a gay Democrat congressman who had an actual sexual affair with an intern? Studds, wasn't it? Well, he got re-elected after that. And of course there was ol' Barney Franks' lack of judgment in choosing a paramour. But again, no Democrat scandal is political death anymore. Franks in an elder 'stateman' of his party. Republicans, on the other hand, throw out their embarrassing scum.

Chavez at UN. Quite a stir, wasn't it? I don't see why. It seemed to be a fairly typical news conference of Democrat leaders. Hell, same script.

Pope's scholarly presentation. Seems most of the world's Religion of Peace followers are intent on proving that there have been no changes to their religion since the 1400s. As in the beginning, violence is still the only response. The violence of psychotic children with learning disabilities. I'll say it again...this is the perfect religion for backwards peoples. Yeah, I know, only a small percentage are involved, blah, blah, blah. But notice how quiet it is from the supposed majority? They know how dangerous their religion is in the hands of millions of nutjobs. Yet, the only loud comments from them is how horrible it is that people judge them by the actions of a relative few. Well, dammit, prove just how few they really are. Instead of having a photo-op with representatives of other religions requesting understanding of the real religion of peace, how about loudly and longly complaining about the murdering scum among your religion. How about endorsing a 'jihad' against the hijackers of your religion? Just for starters. Then I'll listen to this 'poor picked on us' crap. (Yeah, I'm pissed. And no, I don't want to be considerate of others.)

That's it for now.
