Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

Name:
Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

"Weird" Florida

According to NewsMax.com, the Associated Press thinks Florida is weird. How does the AP know? Well...

How weird is Florida? So weird that not one, not two, but three different books have been titled "Weird Florida." The first, written by Palm Beach Post reporter Eliot Kleinberg, hit stores in 1998 and detailed years of strange news stories. Charlie Carlson published his "Weird Florida" in 2005 documenting unusual sites around the state. Now Kleinberg is coming out with a "Weird Florida II" in January with more true, offbeat stories.

There are many interesting and, yes, weird stories cited. I can personally attest that there is even more weirdness here. So please keep visiting us to see our freakshow of a state, but don't even think of moving here! We're quite weird enough, thank you.
