Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

And the Dems chose Crist!?

Well, the Florida Democrat Party is recycling old news in its attempt to capture the governorship.

I mean...Old news!! The 1990s. Maybe the Dems could Move On!

You would think Gov Scott's tacky and troubling dealing in the past had just happened. THAT'S all the Dems have. They have NO NEW IDEAS and more importantly, no centrist Dem they can run.

SO...they are running Charlie Crist. CRIST!

CHRIST!

A former Republican who became an "independent" on his quick way to becoming a Democrat. All you have to do to become a Democrat is give up every position you ever held. That's made Crist a man of no principles and a piece of crap. Oh...I retract, that makes Crist the perfect Dem candidate.

But back to Scott.

SCOTT PERSONALLY was never accused in any criminal investigation. So Not Convicted. He was a business man and CEO whose company was investigated and negotiated a deal to pay 1.7 billion bucks to settle.

Was he a crook? Don't know, but it stank. I thought in 2010 that it was quite possible. I wasn't pleased to have him on the ballot.

BUT...Scott has never been charged or indicted, must less convicted, with anything AND since 2010 our Dem/Fla media have done everything they can to find something on him. Therefore he's been VETTED better than ANY Dem politician...other than Crist when he was a Republican.

I didn't vote for Scott in the 2010 primary. I didn't vote for Crist in the 2006 primary. BUT I did for both in the general election; each were preferable to the Dem alternative so I took a Zantac, held my nose and voted for both.

But having a business crook in the governors mansion is preferable to a lawyer weasel who seamlessly joined an ambulance chasing law firm after the voters said they didn't want him anymore. Different perspective.

Is kinda like Obama being a friend of a terrorist and spending decades in a racist church. Kinda like Crist being a Republican and supportive of Gov Bush before trashing everything that came before. Kinda like Clinton being impeached for being a liar.

It's hard, Dems, but we must move on. Or at least come up with something new and provable.

OR come up with a better candidate, rather than a turncoat.

Of course, this presumes that Crist prevails in today's Democrat primary. His opponent is the usual Democrat woman who is too far left for most Fla voters BUT who does epitomize her party.
