Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

How not to improve your golf game

A local example of how not to use your golf clubs.
A man sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday for brutally attacking his girlfriend with a pair of golf clubs said he simply “snapped” during an outburst.

“It was a moment of anger. I snapped,” said Jonathan Pearson, 26, during a formal sentencing hearing. Pearson said that because he continued “to be attacked verbally,” he reached a point where, “I couldn’t take it anymore.”

Pearson admitted to brutally attacking his girlfriend, Joi Partain Mraz, with a pair of golf clubs June 14 at their northeast Ocala home. It was a beating so vicious it left Mraz, 22, on a surgery table for seven hours and led to the loss of vision in her left eye.

Bastard should have gotten lots more time.
