Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

Just a little suspicious

An Ocala husband goes away for several days, comes home late at night and finds his wife drowned in the pool.

Daniel Lewis Livingston, 65, returned from a five-day business trip at 11:30 p.m. and entered his home in the 300 block of Southeast 90th Street.

Livingston told deputies that, after placing his luggage by the front door, he went looking for his wife, Stephanie Lee Livingston.

Thinking she may be asleep, Livingston said he did not see her in the bedroom. Searching the residence, he noticed the sliding glass door that leads to the pool deck was open, the report noted.

Entering the pool area, the man said he saw his wife floating face down in the water.

The man said he grabbed his wife by the arm and pulled her to the edge, where he pulled her upper body to the pool deck, leaving her feet in the water.

A statue of a horse head and two pieces of ceramic tile were found in the deep end of the pool, according to the Sheriff's Office report.

So far this seems like a horrible thing to have happened. And of course it was. Then this:

James Estes, who lives across the street from Livingston, told the Star-Banner that the victim's husband came to his home and knocked on the door. Estes said it felt like the man was "tearing the door down." Opening the door, Estes said the man told him that his wife was in the pool.

"He was beside himself," Estes said.

Estes said he then left Livingston at the home with Estes' wife, who called 911, while Estes went next door and saw the woman on the pool deck.

You see, hubby didn't call 911 himself. No, he wakes the neighbors and acts (maybe overacts?) like he's out of control with grief.

I know, I know...I'm probably wrong and I hope to god nothing like this happens to me. But frankly, this wouldn't be the first time strange crap happens in families. Can you say Casey and Caylee Anthony?

And here's an update:

OCALA - A Monday autopsy revealed that the Ocala woman who was found face-down in her pool Saturday night died of drowning, Marion County sheriff's spokeswoman Jenifer Fisher said.

Fisher said that Stephanie Livingston, 56, died an "accidental death" and that no foul play was suspected, though sheriff's detectives are still investigating the incident.

You need to erase this and apologize. The Livingston family has gone through a terrible tragedy and they don't need people making ridiculous baseless allegations that have absolutely no basis in fact. You really need to make sure you get your facts straight before you make comments like this. Words hurt buddy.

Thanks for the wrist slap. Maybe I deserve it. But I have to stand by my comment of "I know, I know...I'm probably wrong and I hope to god nothing like this happens to me. But frankly, this wouldn't be the first time strange crap happens in families. Can you say Casey and Caylee Anthony?"
