Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

Name:
Location: North Central Florida, United States

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

Ahhh, Florida!

California is often called the "land of fruits and nuts" especially by many of us in Florida.

But we are on track to catch up pretty damn soon.

LARGO - The city manager of this town with a population of 76,000 announced Wednesday that he intends to pursue a sex-change operation.

Steve Stanton, who built a solid reputation as a forceful and energetic leader in 14 years as city manager, confirmed his plans Wednesday after he was contacted by a St. Petersburg Times reporter. He said he intended to announce his decision in June so his teenage son could be out of town.

I know a thing or two about local governments and city managers. This would have surprised me 10 years ago. No more.

Stanton, who is married, said he expects criticism of his decision to go public with his private life but hopes his example will educate the community about gender reassignment.

I don't know about you, but I'm sick to death of freaks wanting to be an example to me.
