Right In Florida

Motto: This is what happens when Insanity and Banality come together.

I'm an aging boomer, white male (cue scary music); not religious, mostly conservative. Married to the same woman forever. No kids-by choice (I believe in personal choice in most areas of life). Voted mostly Republican until November 2000 when the national Democrats tried to steal the election in Florida. I promised to never again vote for another Democrat; kept that promise to date.

Why I voted for Katherine Harris for Senator (Part 7)

First Answer as usual: Bill Nelson-the Democrat hack who puts his party first, not his state's citizens and taxpayers.

Second Answer: Because of this dangerous Democrat controlled Senate.

Ya'll remember the 2006 election for Senator from Florida, don'cha?

I remember a number of supposed intelligent conservatives who said Harris was unqualified and 'we' just couldn't go wrong with Bill Nelson.

Christ, but I used to pay attention to a lot of dolts. After the 2006 and 2008 elections, I've cut down on a number of those who supported a Democrat-any Democrat-instead of a Republican-any Republican.

It's now a shortcut for me....just ask a question as to whom they voted for in ANY election.

Petty? Yeah, maybe. But it does help to weed out the assholes.

'Tis the season

Well, it's getting along toward Christmas. So of course I was thinking of one of my favorite Christmas songs. It goes like this:

♪...Amber called her uncle, said "We're up here for the holiday,
Jane and I were having Solstice, now we need a place to stay."
And her Christ-loving uncle watched his wife hang Mary on a tree,
He watched his son hang candy canes all made with red dye number three.
He told his niece, "Its Christmas Eve, I know our life is not your style,"
She said, "Christmas is like Solstice, and we miss you and its been awhile,"... ♪

Ahhh, 'tis the season alright. Can't you just feel it?

Merry Christmas!!

Tiger Woods

What can I say. I've liked the guy. He's kept his personal life and political opinions to himself for many years. (Well, until now.) And I appreciate it.

As for the rest, it's embarrassing. But so long as he doesn't treat the rest of us like we're idiots, I'm cool with him.

And I can see why he's a Florida resident. We're not a community property state. But he's still going to lose lots of his stuff. And yes, I foresee a divorce in his future.

Now...back to important matters.
